Advanced LEDs have provided a Sport England and International Squash Federation compliant squash court design for a leisure centre in Hampshire. The new scheme will revitalise the leisure space by giving the hall a significantly improved aesthetic impact, with the proposed installation due to take place mid-2016.
We will replace the incumbent 98W fluorescent linear fittings on a point for point basis with our 60W Clara Bay fittings supplied with specialist glare reducing sports lenses. The design surpasses Sport England and ISF recommended standards of illuminance by achieving 577 lux Eav. The scheme will significantly raise light levels, by over 140%, as well as saving 45% energy – around £400 annually per squash court. From a financial standpoint, the scheme achieves an ROI of 211% and a payback period of 4.73 years.
We have included images of the existing lighting scheme alongside our own lighting designs for the project.
